Warranty Information
All sunglass products offered on the
sunburstshades.com website are covered under a manufacturer's limited
warranty. Please note that all warranty claims and/or issues must be directed to
the product manufacturer, not the retailer. For your convenience, here are the
warranty statements for each of the manufacturers that we
represent:

FLYS/FLY GIRLS
Black Flys has a one year Warranty
Policy from the date of purchase by the original owner. Manufacturer's defects are
warranted by Black Flys eyewear, not the retail dealer. Warranty excludes:
lens scratches caused by negligence, improper use of sunglasses such as: dog
toys, face plants, taking a punch with your shades on, concrete shuffle board,
etc. Liability is limited solely to the repair of the sunglasses.
Sunglasses will be replaced if deemed necessary by Black Flys eyewear. We
disclaim liability for related damages for breach of any expressed or implied
warranty. A copy of the receipt must be included with all
warranties.

ELECTRIC
Electric products
are fully warranted with proof of purchase against defect in material and
workmanship from one year from date of purchase. If Electric products are proven
defective, Electric will replace them at no cost to you. If Electric products
are not considered defective (scratched sunglasses and goggle lenses are not
covered under our warranty) Electric will replace your product at a reasonable
charge. Please ship your Electric products UPS, FEDEX, or insured US mail in a
box with adequate packaging to protect the product against damage during
shipping. Include your proof of purchase, return address, and your daytime and
evening telephone numbers.

HOVEN
Hoven products are made with the best materials and the highest
standards to quality and excellence second to none. All shades made under the
HOVEN mark are guaranteed against fault in materials and workmanship.
If
your shades are damaged as a result of a defect, we will gladly replace them at
no extra charge. If the damage is not because of a defect, HOVEN will offer a
replacement of the same or similar style at a reasonable charge. (HOVEN will NOT
warranty or replace scratched lenses).
In order to make a warranty claim
please send us your goods and include: proof of purchase, your name, address (do
not use a PO BOX), phone number and email. Send us your shades via FEDEX, UPS,
or registered mail so they are guaranteed to get to us. The product must be
property packaged to prevent damage in shipping. If you have any questions,

Please contact HOVEN direct for all

LX
POLARIZED
LX Polarized Optics posess a lifetime
warranty against all manufacturer faults. LX Polarized Optics is not accountable
for any damage sustained by LX products as a result of misuse. LX sunglasses
which have been dropped, sat on, driven on, closed in car doors, scratched by
the keys in your purse, chewed on by your dog, struck by a falling coconut, etc,
are not considerable for warranty replacement. However, LX Polarized Optics
laboratories have the resources and technology to repair LX sunglasses which
have sustained damage, and can repair any LX Product for a nominal
fee.

SPORT
Lifetime Warranty
We know what
makes great product. We built our reputation by creating the highest quality
eyewear and we know you will agree. If you experience a problem that is a defect
in materials or workmanship Smith Optics warrants your sunglasses and goggles
for the lifetime of the product, and we will repair or replace your sunglasses
and goggles at no charge. Smith Optics has the sole discretion to determine
manufacturer's defects. Scratched lenses are NOT a manufacturer's defect. You
must return your Smith sunglasses or goggles to Smith Optics, as described below
with a proof of purchase.
To make a claim, do not return your Smith
sunglasses or goggles to the store. Stores are not authorized to provide service
under this warranty. Instead, send us the completed Lifetime Warranty Claim
Form, available
at:
http://www.smithsport.com/customerservice/warranty_claimform.html
with your Smith sunglasses or goggles and contact information. We built
our reputation on quality, performance product and we stand behind it.
We
encourage you to send your Smiths by a traceable method (such as FedEx or UPS),
as Smith Optics is not responsible for lost or misdirected packages. We will
return your sunglasses or goggles using ground UPS shipping. Overnight shipping
option available. Allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. For non-delivery or further
information, e-mail us at warranty@smithoptics.com. We will reply within one (1)
- two (2) business days
Substitution/Discontinued
Sunglasses:
If your exact sunglasses or goggles are NOT
currently available (i.e. discontinued), please choose a new pair of sunglasses
or goggles and indicate the substitution model on your claim form. You CANNOT
choose a different style sunglass or goggle if your style is currently
available. In the case where your style is no longer available, simply choose a
new style and color with EQUAL or LESS retail value with the style you are
returning. Style names and frame colors are on the inside of the left temple of
ALL Smith sunglasses.
Scope and Duration of the
Warranty:
This warranty program lasts for the lifetime of
your Smith product. This warranty program covers all parts of your Smith
sunglasses or goggles and applies to all types of defects or failure, except for
loss. This warranty does NOT cover prescription lenses. Smith Optics lifetime
warranty extends only to sunglass frames used in conjunction with our Certified
Installation of prescription lenses by SOLA
Technologies.
Limitation on Damages:
For
breach of any written or implied warranty on this product, the consumer is
limited to damages of repair of the product or replacement with an identical or
equivalent style, at the election of Smith Optics. Smith Optics is NOT liable
for any other damages, such as special, incidental, or consequential damages,
resulting from use of this product. Note: some States do not allow the exclusion
or limitation of special, incidental, or consequential damages, so the above
limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you
specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from State to
State.
This warranty extends to residents of the United States
only.
Repair Service
Smith provides a
repair service for sunglasses and goggles that are damaged and not covered under
warranty. For a nominal fee Smith will repair or replace scratched lenses,
frames and other parts as needed and available. For more information contact a
Smith Warranty and Repair at (800) 635-4401. Please contact
warranty@smithoptics.com for full details on the repair/replacement fee under
this replacement program.

From
the moment a new design leaves the drawing board through the final quality
certification every Von Zipper product is held to stringent quality control
procedures to ensure that your VZ's will not let you down. All Von Zipper
products have a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer's defects.
If
you should have a problem with any Von Zipper product, it can be resolved in 3
easy steps:
1. Print and complete the Von Zipper warranty claim form,

so we
can process your claim quickly. Please include your proof of purchase, daytime
phone and or email so that we can let you know the status of your warranty claim
when we receive it. 2. Pack product in suitable packaging to make sure it is
not damaged in shipping and ship it to us using a traceable source (ie UPS,
Federal Express). Von Zipper is not responsible for products lost or damaged in
shipment. 3. We will contact you when we receive your goods to let you know
the status of your
repair.
